The Amusing Story Behind Se7en's "When I Can't Sing"

It's unfitting and undeserving for me to proclaim that I am a Kpop junkie, because if you are going to compare me to other die-hard fans out there, I'm afraid I'm going to fall short lacking a lot of requirements to be consider as one. Although it's no secret that I love K-pop, there are only a handful of artists that I really admire. More than the flashy presentation, glamorous visuals and striking package, I'm looking for a song that can touch my insides, melt my heart and stay in my ears for a long time.

And Se7en's latest single for his comeback album gives to me what I've been searching for these past few weeks in the Kpop world. A song that hits all the right notes in me.

I was not a fan of Se7en until his new R&B track "When I Can't Sing" struck me.  Aside from the fact that he has a powerful but soothing voice that can deliver emotions, smooth moves that can reflect his true feelings, the song itself shouts a resounding message and ear-sticking melody that make me hum it continuously.

Well, thanks to J.Y. Park, (the composer) for letting Se7en to used his own created song. I'm aware that J.Y.P. is the man when it comes to composing but now, my respect for him grow even more.

Earlier today, I saw a video clip featuring Se7en in his latest variety guesting in Lee Seung Gi's Strong Heart, unveiling the amusing story behind his song "When I Can't Sing". Through the video, I found out how Se7en  convinced and begged J.Y.P to give him the precious song the renowned Kpop composer created and saved for himself. The story he told was hilarious, it made the song even more special knowing that there was a cheery history behind it.
