Lee Seung Gi is Ha Ji Won's King : Should I be Happy or Sad?

Delighted and discontented are the two sides of the coin I'm tossing on the air right now to find out what I should feel about the upcoming drama of Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won in MBC. The coin already reached my floor but it is still flipping continuously, weighing the final side that will serve as the outcome. I know the coin will stop rotating soon and judgment will be done but not until my eyes land on the pilot episode of this series, or maybe a teaser will be enough to determine the answer.

Let me explain first how I've come up with the two sides of my coin. First, let me share with you about my overflowing cheeriness now that it's confirmed Lee Seung Gi (my yeobo! hihi ^^) is going to return to dramaland after the success of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I'm also ecstatic to know that one of my favorites Ha Ji Won has finally landed herself a comeback drama but what bothers me is the notable age gap of the pair. Yes, it's true that Seung Gi is known to be a noona romance killer but eight years age gap, seriously? How can they convince me that they are sweethearts if I'm already aware that he is even younger than her own real life actor brother (Jun Tae Soo). In western age, Lee Seung Gi is 25 years old while Ha Ji Won is already 33. I don't know why but I do have an issue about the age gap of any couple in drama casting. It doesn't matter to me if the guy is older than the girl but if it's the other way around and the gap is really wide and noticeable, then you have my immediate concern.

This would be perfect if instead of him, Ha Ji Won got Jo In Sung as her king as planned initially. I re-watched episodes 1-3 of What Happened in Bali last night and I can't help but squeal at the oozing chemistry of Ji Won and In Sung. I would also embrace this drama with open arms if Lee Seung Gi is instead paired with another female actress on his generation, say Moon Geun Young. The idea of having Park Shin Hye on-board is a great one too because they already proved that they have sparks in Seung Gi's latest Japanese music video where Shin Hye plays as his ladylove. But what can I do? The casting doesn't lie in a fan's hands. The only thing that I have control is whether I watch this drama or not. But obviously, the answer is "I will watch it". Come on, this is Lee Seung Gi! I badly want to love this drama for the sake of the talented cast and the promising story. Oh! Please! Have chemistry even if I know the two of you are like siblings. *fingerscrossed*
