It is an obvious fact that in my corner, Korean actors are always the stars but this time, make way and let the spotlight shine on Thai heartthrob, MARIO MAURER. He made it into my crush-list ever since I first watched him in the hit Thai rom-com flick, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". Armed with his innocent handsome face, milky skin and boy-next-door-appeal, Mario captured the hearts of Filipino fans like me! Last October, Mario visited the Philippines to sign a movie contract under Star Cinema. He also had a very successful fan meeting and photoshoots for Penshoppe.

Lee Min Ho Reunites with Park Bo Young at the 32nd Blue Dragon Awards O.o

This picture below is what I want to happen in my favorite real-life OTP this coming December. Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young attending the SBS Drama Awards is my ultimate fangirl wish this year. Individually, the off-screen couple is busy. Park Min Young has truckloads of work, filming her drama Man Of Honor while her boyfriend Lee Min Ho has a jam-packed schedule shooting CFs, pictorials and doing fan-meetings around Asia.

On the other hand, Lee Min Ho recently attended the 32nd Blue Dragon Awards and in that prestigious event, he reunited with his friend and former co-star in Secret Campus, bubbly actress Park Bo Young. (Yay! I love her! She's so cute! ^^) to present the Best New Director award.

Han Hye Rin plays the lead in family drama, Just You O.o

I need help! I wanna watch this new Korean weekday family drama in KBS entitled "Just You," but I can't find any site that has its videos with subtitles. I always visit dramacrazy but there's still no good news for me there. If you manage to know a streaming site for this series, please let me know. The line-up of the cast in this show is not that stellar compare to other primetime dramas so a lot of foreign fans don't have any interest but I really want to view this because Han Hye Rin is here. For those who don't know her, she played the spoiled, sensitive but kind Geum Rara in New Tales Of  Gisaeng and since then, my admiration for her continuously grows.

Xian Lim and Kim Chui Pop-Up in Colorful Covers for Chalk O.o

I'm currently watching MY BINONDO GIRL, a cross-dressing series from my own homeland Philippines, and I really like the budding romance between Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. These two stars establish strong chemistry on-and-off-screen. Right now, I considered this couple as my favorite Filipino loveteam. I just hope that abs-cbn will give them more projects together after their drama wraps up, a movie deal would be great! ^^

While lurking around the KimXi (Kim-Xian) page in facebook, I found a combined photo of the two mixing their individual cover shots for Chalk magazine. The right picture shows Xian in the latest December 2011-January 2012 issue while the left cover has Kim for the last August 2010 edition of the mag.

Both covers are stand-outs because of colorful palettes making both stars look fresher and younger. I especially like Kim's dorky purple top with blue and white shapes on the front.

Drama Gods, why are you so generous to us? You always have a way to make us squealed using your sugar-coated scenes. First, you dropped us some In Time With You spoilers and now, a Tae Hee-Ja Eun moment that could make our knees weak! Now I believe that gods are always awake! You heed my prayers. ^^

MY FAVORITE SCENE!!! ^^

DAEBAK!!! Jinja daebak!!! This episode spoiled me! I only asked for a piece of cake but episode 34 gave the whole cake to me with matching balloons to celebrate the heart-melting last scene of Tae Hee and Ja Eun. How could I hate this drama if every time I'm about to fall, it always catches me and bring back my balance?

New Asian Movies I'm dying to watch O.o

One of the pitfalls of being a foreign fan is not having a full access of what you want to see and catch. It is not visible at first but as soon as you became more updated of the latest happenings, you will start to get the crystal clear view of the things that you can't reach for now even if you stretch your hand as much as you can just to get it. I said "for now" because time will come that your eyes can finally land on it but you have to elongate your patience line.

I blog not to keep people updated about Asian entertainment. Most of the time, I share a post here in my corner about a celebrity because I like him/her so if you find something about the latest pictorials or spreads of an  actor or an actress from a magazine, one thing is for sure, that star has a space in my favorite list. I either adore him/her or he/she lightens up my mood that I want to keep an eye on his/her career. And ultimately, SHIN SE KYUNG has her own territory in my eyes. This girl deserves to be watched and seen whether in series, movies or photoshoots.

Unforgettable Jihoo-Jandi Moments in Cute Drawings O.o

Yoon Ji Hoo got everything in the drama, Boys Over Flowers but fate was not in his side because no matter how perfect and ideal he is, the poor guy didn't get the girl in the end. He is always there for Jandi, giving, caring and loving her without asking anything in return. A guy who would do anything to make the love of his life happy and well. And that's the reason why JI-HOO is my favorite second male lead in K-dramaland.

He may not ended up with Jandi but still, she considered him as her "soulmate". They may not made it into an official couple, but their sugary moments are enough to make our hearts flutter.

Yi Jung - Ga Eul Lovely Moments in Chibi Photos O.o

Boys Over Flowers centers around the Cinderella tale of Geum Jan Di and his prince charming, Gu Jun Pyo. But aside from the one true pair's unconditional love, we are also glued to the cute romance between the rich and playboy Yi Jung and innocent and bright Ga Eul. The chemistry of these two is undeniable. Sparks fly everytime they are around each other. They became one of the factors why B.O.F. is included in my all-time favorites. This drama wouldn't be the same without this couple's strong and warm presence.

While I was lurking the k-drama world in the internet, I found some adorable and well-created drawings of Ga Eul and Yi Jung featuring their memorable moments in B.O.F made by LUNARSEA. Some of the images didn't really happen in the story but still, it's nice to see them because they were made out of the creator's lovely imagination. Watch List Diary # 6

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Dramaland has so much love to give to everyone! This week calls for a celebration because a lot of brilliant and thrilling things happened with my drama characters. I poured my heart out with every tear-jerking moments, squeezed my hand with every heart-pounding stunts and shouted without creating a sound (Imagine that! Hihi ^^) with all the unexpected twists that surprised me this week.

WEEK # 6 : (NOVEMBER 16 - 23)

As always, I started another old drama to add on my pending list. But it's worth to add it because it's impressively witty and punky plus the actors are stellar and great! ^^

This happened last year but I never find time to share it here until today. The day after my good friend Myris and I watched Rain's concert in Philippines, we went to a mall to buy a dress for me and there, we took some pictures out of boredom inside the fitting room.

Breaking Dawn Part 1 : The Gushes of a Twi-Hard O.o

Ladies and gentlemen, before I start this post, I would like to congratulate all the cast and crew of Breaking Dawn : Part 1 for making such a wonderful and well-presented fourth movie installment of The Twilight Saga.

All of us are invited to the "wedding of the century." (Edward is a century-old groom so I think it matches to call it that way! Hihi ^^). The Edward Cullen-Bella Swan nuptial is a public event that anyone can attend. Whoever you are, whatever you do, wherever place you live, as long as there is a movie theater that shows Breaking Dawn, you can come and send your best wishes to the vampire groom and his mortal bride. To be invited, all you have to do is buy a ticket and you won't be a wedding crasher in this gathering.

I talked about The Hunger Games yesterday, I talk about it today, I'm talking about it right now, I will talk about it tomorrow and probably, I'll still do talk about it until the day of the premiere comes.

After the release of the official trailer, "excited" is an understatement to define how I feel right now about this much-awaited book-turned-movie. But if you combine excitement with joy, nervousness, crave and anticipation, you'll get the right mixture of my true feeling.

But it didn't stop there! The appetizer which is the trailer is not a complete meal so to make us partially full, let's feed our eyes with these simple but mysterious half-viewed character posters. And for desserts, we got some photo stills and magazine spreads to touch our sweet tooth.

Teddy Bears for a change O.o

If you have read The Girl Behind Purple page of my blog, you'll know that I'm not a fan of teddy bear. It's not that I hate it, I just feel like it only exists in the world to collect dust and dirt. So if someone will give me a gift, teddy bear or any stuff toy is a No-No! I'm a practical person so buying teddy bear which is expensive and not useful at all is a big sin! Hehe ^^ I can appreciate it but by the end of the day, the only thing I can use it is as a display in my room. I know Mr. Bean won't agree with me on this because TEDDY is his BFF but let me tell him something, it is true that he can hug his teddy but during cold and lonely nights, it is still better to be locked with a real person's arms that can give a comforting warmth.

But today, I took some shots of me with the teddies in our house owned by my mom just for a change ^^

I can't believe what my bare eyes witnessed! The trailer blew my mind and now I wish time could fly. Two minutes and thirty three seconds are enough to make me go insane and excited to death! The first time I've seen the super short first teaser, it pissed me off because I was teased literally. But now that the official trailer is finally released, I can't help but squeal with glee!

This week, "BUSYBEE" wanders around blog sphere actively while "LAZYMEE" travels dramaland without energy. I want to settle all the pending old dramas on my watch list but I can't find the time and interest to do it! I feel so heart broken this week! I don't know what happened to my ever-fluffy dramalandia! Drama gods, where are you? Heed my prayer and please bring back all the sweet drama goodies that I love to eat!

WEEK # 5 : (NOVEMBER 9 - 15)

While I took a break from dramaland, I found out a paradise for MIN-MIN shippers like me! I really enjoyed it to the point of exploring the whole blog for a whole afternoon! I've seen a lot of MIN-SUN blogs but this is the first blog for minmincouple that I've visited.

Prior to the promotion of Jang Geun Suk's new movie, You're My Pet, the hallyu star had a photoshoot for an interview with OSEN. And to my delight, Sukkie wore his You're Beautiful trademark hair! Azza! To be honest, I got worn out of his "long-ponytail-hairdo in Mary Stayed Out All Night. It was hot for a rock star at first but later on, I grew tired of it that everytime I saw a scissor, what I wanted to do is cut his hair!

The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 1 : More Photo Stills O.o

Four days to go and The Twilight Saga fever will infect the whole town again for the fourth time. As one of the avid followers (I no longer call myself a Twi-hard because I am so over this phase now! ^^ Hihi.) of this movie installment, four days seem longer for me. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way so to tease other fans like me, I compiled another batch of photo stills from the first part of Breaking Dawn. As of the moment, we can't do anything but to enjoy these pictures.

Im Soo Hyang and Bang Sung Hoo play Baseball O.o

Dark chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolates. And watching New Tales of Gisaeng reminded me of the first time I tried to eat it. I'm not aware of the different taste it has and initially, I expected it to be sweet but after the first bite, I found out that it's not all about the sweetness. It's special because of the bitterness in every bite. Now, I crave for more because of the bitter taste it left in my mouth.

In the drama, Im Soo Hyang who played the stunning demure heroine, Dan Sa Ran and Bang Sung Hoon who gave life to narcissistic, rich Ah Da Mo shared a lot of heart-spitting moments together but this time, the couple went out in the field to play baseball.

Accept it! PAC-MAN is the Real Champ!!! O.o

To be honest, I had second thoughts if I should tackle this topic here in my blog. First and foremost, I am neither a boxing enthusiast nor an expert of this field so I feel like I don't have the license to dissect the controversy in further details. Second, "bashing is not my thing" and I'm fully aware that in discussing this issue, I couldn't help but spell it out all my rants and raves which I don't want to happen initially, because although I hate striking violently using words, I know I can be good at this if I want to. Third and last reason, Purple Lee's Corner is all about positivity and good vibes so somehow I don't want to ruin the bright atmosphere of my personal space.

As a big fan of Korean entertainment, I want to participate in today's celebration and greet everyone a Happy Pepero Day!! ^^ In South Korea, people are celebrating November 11 as Pepero Day because the digits 11-11 look like Pepero sticks.

This year, I bought my own Pepero but hopefully next year, someone will give me these infamous sticks of love. Yay!!! :)

On the episode of Strong Heart aired last November 8th, Yoona along with some of the members of SNSD made an appearance as guests where my beloved namja chingu, Lee Seung Gi hosted solo.  If you're a certified AIREN (LSG's FAN), I'm sure you're aware that SNSD's Yoona is the ideal girl of Seung Gi and for three consecutive years, she remains his celebrity crush (which sucks! LOL!)

Mainly, this is the reason why Yoona is not my favorite even if she's the most visually appealing SNSD member. (according to others) I admit, there's a little grudge on my part! Hihi ^^ As a girl, it's hard to like another girl no matter how nice or pretty she is because you know that she's the ideal girl of your crush! And that's how I feel about her! I know I don't own Seung Gi but as a fan who loves him to death, it's hard to accept it! But I guess I can handle the pain if it's Shin Min Ah or Han Hyo Joo he's getting link to.

CHUCK is a JERK but . . . O.o

CHUCK & BLAIR : Season 5, Episode 6

. . . he is the sweetest JERK in the Upper East Side!!! Oh! Yeah! You read it right! Chuck Bass is absolutely the "King of all Jerks" but he can also be the most romantic guy in front of the woman he truly loves. Lucky you, Blair Waldorf, because you're the only person in the whole world that can make a Chuck Bass miserably in love.

Episode 6 of Gossip Girl entitled, "I Am Number Nine," left me in a squeal alert as Chuck said sorry to Blair. Okay, it was just a simple sorry for all the things he did to her but gaaaaaad! It was the most sincere apology from him that I've heard since his break-up with B. Chuck can be the only villain in Blair's life that she can never defeated but whenever he did something like this, the antagonist vibe he got instantly turned him into the ultimate "HERO" of the heroine's love. He has his way of making a girl's heart melts using his sincere words. He can make the tough Blair vulnerable and fragile into pain.

Watch List Diary # 4

I took a short break out of dramaland this week as I started two American programs and I'm glad I did because they are freaking awesome!!! I was able to catch-up on some dramas and continued to work on my fiction story. I also accomplished a lot of task this week aside from facing the computer. For a girl like me, every minute is precious so I'm cautious on how I can use my time properly. A lot of good scenes happened in the dramas in my watch-list. There are kisses, confessions, confirmations, enjoyable start, funny stunts, emotional moments and breath-taking scenarios.

WEEK # 4 : (NOVEMBER 2 - 8)

The Wonder Girls said, "Be My Baby" O.o

THE WONDER GIRLS ARE BACK!!!

 . . . and any guys who heard this will surely say "YES!"

Everyone, the KPOP Queens are back!!! Okay, others may raise their eye brows when I called them "The Queens" but I think, they really own the crown this time around. Comeback speaking, I prefer their song than my favorite group's "THE BOYS."


At first, I find it hard to believe it myself because I'm a SONE so why the hell I enjoy "Be My Baby" more than "The Boys?" I guess it's because SNSD's comeback song didn't make an effect on me. Neither did I liked it nor hated it. It just didn't click on my taste because I find the chorus part forceful and the extravagant music video dramatic without substance. It's kinda overrated with all the teasers and buzz about it. I hate to say this but better luck next time, Girls Generation! Because Wonder Girls pulled it off this year's comeback! (Hey! I'm not picking a fight here! Both groups are awesome but sometimes, the song makes a big difference.)

Can't get enough of Bang Sung Hoon O.o

BANG SUNG HOON

Seriously, this guy can be the next big thing in the entertainment industry of South Korea if he will be given a good project. His acting debut in the family drama, New Tales of Gisaeng is beyond exceptional. To think that it was his first time in acting is something hard to believe. (Even now, I can't still believe it myself). Because the performance he showed in the 50-episode series is outstanding. The emotional weight he gave in every scenes is too much for me to bear.

I cried every time he cried. I smiled every time he smiled. I giggled over his cute and adorable acts. I laughed at his funny stunts. I melted every time he stared at her. I cursed him when he hurt so bad. But he made my heart flutter with his surprises and sacrifices for her. He made me feel the pain in every tormenting moments. And above all, he made my Saturday and Sunday the best days during the airing period of New Tales of Gisaeng. If you have watched this drama already, you know what I'm talking about and I'm sure that you love him as much as I do or maybe more than I feel for him.

I won the Couch Kimchi Contest + The Golden Rope Updates O.o

This post is super late! I should have informed you guys sooner because I found out the result last October 19, and today is November 2 already! Hihi! So for those who don't know, I joined this Couch Kimchi Synopsis Writing last October 12 and the results were released last October 19. Luckily, my entry got the first prize! (Whoa!)

I wasn't expecting to win but I admit that I was hoping! I want to get the prize which is Heartstrings Photo Essay. Actually, I have a lot of fun while writing my entry for 20 minutes! I guess cramming is really my thing! Haha ^^ I have friends of mine who told me before that my pieces are better when I'm writing under pressure.

I'm still behind! Three weeks had passed and I still haven't finished the old pending dramas in my watch-list! Maybe because I'm losing interest to continue those now that I have found another new-love drama from my own country. As much as possible, I'm trying to be more productive everytime I face the computer. I want to continue my Korean lessons in talktomeinkorean website and start to write the whole story of The Golden Rope! (By the way, for those who don't know, I joined in couchkimchi special writing contest last month and luckily, they chose my entry as the winning piece. A lot of people who read it encourage me to continue it and make it a fanfiction. So now, I'm trying to work on it. ^^) (watch list diary 2)

WEEK # 3 (OCTOBER 26 - NOVEMBER 1)

Sadly, I have to sacrifice other dramas in able to have a watch-marathon of the other series that I'm really loving now and to do other things!
