Watch List Diary # 2

Do you ever feel like 24 hours in a day is not enough? Well, I always do! For someone like me who wants to accomplish a lot of things within a day, an extra time would be really great! I want to watch series and movies, I want to read novels, I want to write on my blog and I want to do other things other than facing the computer whenever I'm free, but I can't do it all! I need to compromise at least one of these.

I'm glad that my whole week became productive. I was able to watch a lot of movies and catch-up on other dramas in my list but the not-so-good thing is, I started another series again before I even finish the pending dramas in my list! Whew! I'm always like this!

WEEK # 2 (OCTOBER 19-25)

So now, the number of dramas in my watch-list is continuously increasing that even I don't know how I can finish all. The dramas and movies are like dark circles just keep on piling under my eyes. What should I do? Don't sleep? Haha!

 If you miss the first week, check this out : watch list diary # 1

-> IN TIME WITH YOU : Episode 6

- The director of this drama himself stated that this episode will be the best one and because of his statement, my excitement reached the roof of our house. After I watched episode 6, I have a lot to say but I'll save it on when I make the couple highlights for this episode. I'm not disappointed but I'm expecting for more when the director said that it's the best episode.

Ding Li Wei finally meets You Qing! Though I'm not thrilled to see their reunion, there's a little excitement in my heart because I know that this will push the Da Ren to his limit! I just have to wait for him to explode because of jealousy anytime soon! Yay! I'm also happy now that Maggie is out in his life! Yes! Finally Da Ren! You had the courage to dump her! He tells her that he likes her but the one he loves is You Qing! But I must admit that I kinda pity Maggie after he breaks up with her. I don't know why . . (Oh! By the way, the actress who plays Maggie needs to attend some acting workshops! Her acting during the break-up scene with Da Ren is not that convincing. Her tears appears weak to me.)

-> MAN OF HONOR : Episodes 2, 3 & 4

- Episode 2 took years before they finally released it with subtitles! No! Just Kidding! ^^ I don't know why it took long for subbers to release it subbed! I'm not sure but I guess the fanbase of this is not that big enough compare to other dramas currently airing (Huhu! That makes me sad!). But they catch up for episodes 3 and 4, they released the subtitles earlier than the second episode. Of course I will depend it to those who will criticize this series but so far, there's nothing new! It's hard for me to tell this but the makjang elements on it make me sick! Not that I hate the drama now because I still like it. Maybe I just want to see something refreshing in the eyes.

While episode 3 makes me irritated with some of the characters, (like the head nurse, Young Kwang's mom and younger sister) Glorious Jane makes up to me on episode 4 with some perky and light moments between Jae In and Young Kwang. It's so cute when he cooks noodles for her and when he touches her face while she's sleeping.

I'm upset with Young Kwang's father who dies in episode 4. Is it really that hard for him to tell Jae In that he's not her father. I'm not sad at all with his death because he deserves it! And the story needs it for the plot developments. Now, both Jae In and Young Kwang think they are siblings! I am so curious how love will blossom between this pair who now has to treat each others as brother and sister. You know! The "oppa-dongsaeng thingy" can be really exciting!

MAN OF HONOR (Glorious Jane) : EPISODES 2, 3 & 4

-> OJAKGYO BROTHERS : Episodes 23 & 24

- This may be the slowest development in romance I've ever watched in K-dramaland but this couple worth the wait! Every scenes, every lines and every stares of the UEE-Joo Won couple gives me quick heartbeat. In episode 23, Tae Hee finally opens up to Ja Eun by revealing that the woman on the picture is his real mom. It means a lot because it just shows that he has trust on her now. They also share some adorable scenes in episode 24 when she asks for his help to move the sack of bird feeds. She finds out that Tae Hee is afraid of ducks! How cute . . .

But the comedy changes to melo when Ja Eun finds out the truth that ahjumma is hiding the contract to her. Ja Eun's evil step-mom reveals everything to her! I really hate the step-mom! She's a social climber! I want the ducks to eat her up!

-> DEEP ROOTED TREE : Episodes 2 & 3

- What's so good about this sageuk drama is, it makes one curious about the Korean History. Episodes 2 & 3 make me want to know more about King Sejong and his reign in Joseon period. The rivalry between the young King Sejong (Song Joong Ki's role) and his father is so intense that it will keep you on the edge of your seat. The arrow scene is nail-biting! Joong Ki should be given a stand-up ovation for his exceptional portrayal as King Sejong in this historical drama! Hands down to Joong Ki ^^

I'm also amazed to know that even before, the mathematical game "sudoku" already exist.

-> VAMPIRE PROSECUTOR : Episode 2

- It's dark, mysterious and suave! It changes the picture of the boring, serious, old-fashioned prosecutor in my head that I often notice in other K-dramas. Yeon Jung Hoon can be cute especially in the flashback scenes of him with a girl.

Episode 2 case is about a director mysteriously killed at the same location of the film they are shooting. I like the special effects they use in the swimming pool but I must say that the case in episode one is better that the second case. I'm kinda confused with some of the details in episode 2.

-> HIGH KICK 3 : Episodes 3-13

- Watching a sitcom series gives a lot of laughter and entertainment! Everything could happen in the story, even the weirdest and silliest stunt is possible. For example, in order to hide from the loan sharks, Ahn Nae Sang and his family created a tunnel or tugout under two houses to serve as their hide-out. But the crazy thing here is, he accidentally drills the toilet of their neighbor's house that cause Jin Hee to injure her bottom because she's doing her private business when it happens! Haha ^^ It was so hilarious that I even woke up my mom who was sleeping that time because I laughed so hard when I watched it. The bromances (there's a lot) in the story are super cute too!!!

I had a High Kick marathon from episode 3 to 13. Right now, I'm still waiting for the subtitles for the other available episodes. Please, subtitles come faster!

HIGH KICK 3 : EPISODES 3-13

Oh! Before I forgot! I should mention that I really enjoy this cute couple below :D Yoon Kye Sang has an unexpected chemistry with this 19-year old Ji Won ^^ I hope their relationship goes further! I don't mind the age-gap of the two because they got the connection and sparks on-screen!

I never expected that these two would have a chemistry! They look so adorable together ^^
KYE SANG & JI WON

-> RING RING BELL (Real Love Please Press The Bell Twice) : Episodes 3

- Oh Man! I really hate Xiao Xiang's ex-fiancee! He gets on my nerves! He doesn't have the right to blame her when something bad happens to Duo Duo. He abandons them so he should be the one apologetic to her and to the kid.

This drama has a lot of cliche scenarios in the plot. The story is plain and airy but I still enjoy it, maybe because the cast are visually appealing. It's like eating a food without nutrition. You eat it not because it's good for your health but because you just enjoy every bite of it.

Episode 3 ends with a confession from Xiao Xiang to Jia Kai. She tells him that she's the girl from the past. I wonder if it's only an imagination of her. But if not, I'll be really happy because I want him to know sooner that she was the girl he once loved. Come on! Give us a fast-pacing romance! ^^

-> A THOUSAND DAY PROMISE : Episodes 1 & 2

- Okay! So I checked out two episodes and so far, I'm not really into it! Episodes 1 & 2 are full of angst and steamy scenes just like what they showed in the teasers. I've watched the movie, A Moment To Remember before which has the same Alzheimer concept just like this drama and I must say that I prefer the movie. I know it's too soon to judge but I'm not enjoying the scenes of this tear-jerking series of Soo Ae and Kim Rae Won. I love melo-drama but I feel like I can't root for the "bad romance" here.

Ji Hyung (KRW's role) is a total jerk! I feel sorry for his innocent fiancee who loves him unconditionally. And because of that, I can't tolerate the main pair's forbidden love. I know that the complicated relationships and family ties are necessary because it's a series that has a lot of episodes but I just can't connect myself with the characters especially to the leads.

A THOUSAND DAY PROMISE : EPISODES 1 & 2

-> TRIPLE : Episodes 1 & 2

- I haven't finished yet the dramas on my pending watch list and here I am, adding a new series in my must-watch. Everyone, give your high five to TRIPLE! The new light drama that I started last Monday. I don't know why the title is Triple but I have a guess that it's because there are three amazing actors in it! HOHO! They got Lee Jung Jae (I like him in IL MARE!), Lee Seon Kyun (the quirky dude in Coffee Prince, BTW, I love to hear his speaking voice!), and YOON KYE SANG (the most adorkable doctor from The Greatest Love). The female lead is rising star, Min Hyo Rin.

The story is about a girl named Lee Haru who dreams to become a successful figure skater. In reaching this dream, she has to go to Seoul and live with the THREE HOT AHJUSSHI that I already mentioned above.

So far, I'm liking it! The main conflict right now is whether Lee Jung Jae (the house owner) will let her live with them or not which I'm sure will happen sooner. Cutie Joong Ki is also included in the cast and that makes me more thrilled to watch it! Kyaaaaaaaaa . . .

  1. Triple refers to an ice skating move. Or I'm sure several. That one is nice a fluffy, I don't think I ever finished it though. Slice of life isn't quite my thing. I'm watching Man of Honor too. It's so cheesy, but I think I'll like it. Such a cute couple. I find I don't mind the makjang as much as I'm delighted by it's silliness.

    I'm still not sure about Thousand Day Promise. It's harder to follow than the others. I'm going to watch ep 3 tomorrow. Unless Ring Ring Bell gets subbed. I sure hope it does.

  2. Oh! Thank you for explaining it to me! I really don't have any idea! Haha ^^ So far, it's good! Triple is a stress-free drama for me because it's light and the conflict is not as nerve-wracking as the problems in other dramas are. I'm glad to know that you're watching M.O.H. too!

    I think we're on the same page with T.D.P. Just like you, I'm still not sure whether I like it or not. It's hard for me to drop it because Kim Rae Won is one of my favorite actors but I don't know whether my feelings for this melo-drama will change. Well, I hope it does . .
