Two stars from two different movie adaptations who played main characters in Nicholas Sparks' novels will pair up in the movie The Vow. Rachel McAdams who portrayed Allie Hamilton in The Notebook and Channing Tatum who gave life to John Tyree of Dear John will make our Valentines Day memorable as they share unforgettable vows, as Paige and Leo in the big screen this coming heart's day, February 14, 2012.
"I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love" - LEO

| Don't forget to catch this movie!!! ^^ |
The Vow is a romantic drama film based on a true story about a newlywed couple who encounters car accident that puts the wife named Paige to coma. When she wakes up, she no longer remembers her husband Leo. The severe-memory loss she is suffering makes her husband feel the more pain because she treats him like a stranger now. Leo is determined to get her back and make her fall in love again with him the second time. But is it possible for a forgotten love to blossom again? Is there a second chance for a once in a lifetime love?
First, let me get this straight! There is nothing new with the concept of the movie. I am used and very familiar about the amnesia theme that it almost kills my curiosity to watch any movies or series with the same "I forgot that I love you set-up." But after I watched the trailer of The Vow, I'm surprised to know that the pledge I make not to watch a movie with the same old amnesia story is again broken. The premiere of the film is still next year but I admit that right now, I'm anticipating to watch it.
I guess the anticipation has something to do with the main pair. Channing Tatum is one of the Hollywood actors that I like and Rachel McAdams can really strike a string in my heart when it comes to romance drama. Though I'm not a fan of her in The Notebook, I admire McAdams convincing portrayal in The Time Traveler's Wife. So I guess it's more of the execution and emotional weight of the movie that attract me and not the century old amnesia.
The premise of the story is as clear as purified water to me. But I'm still hoping that maybe the predictable plot can give the viewers a good twist in the ending, or at least something surprising or different from other amnesia conflict movies. Well, let's just see if this can make us swear that The Vow is the perfect movie in the season of love.
